Craftsmanship

Established in 2013, we're dedicated to producing stylish and unique Australian watches that are accessible to enthusiasts, casual collectors and beyond.

From Concept Stage to Product Launch

The process begins with an idea that goes through many important stages before it is launched.

Design Stage

We begin with a vision of who we are designing the new style for. Is it a sports watch, dress watch, etc.

We further consider what functions our clients would like - water resistance level, day/date, chrono etc.

Technical Elements

Taking into consideration the functionality needed the next step is the selection of a suitable movement, case, crystal, dial and strap/bracelet.

Prototyping

A prototype is then produced so we can inspect the entire design and fine tune any elements of the case, dial, lens or strap/bracelet that needs refining.

Once finalised production begins the 3 month journey until product launch day.

Commitment to Quality

Since our launch in 2013, we have remained committed to never compromising on both the quality of our watches and our customer experience, while maintaining an accessible price point.

We stand by this commitment with our two year warranty and 30 day returns policies. We want you to be completely satisfied with your experience with us and we know that this extends beyond your purchase itself.

Premium Materials

We maintain a constant standard across all our watches by ensuring a high standard of materials are used for each design.

As a minimum our designs use 316L stainless steel for all cases and bracelets. Bracelets are all solid links and clasps/buckles. Leather straps are top grain cow hide giving a stylish look, yet providing great wear and tear

All lenses are Saphire Crystal with an anti reflective coating.

Movement

The movement of a watch is its “heart” or “engine”, this not only defines its functions but also the reliability and accuracy of your watch. With that in mind, we use only higher end Swiss and Japanese movements for both our Automatic and Quartz watches, to ensure you can enjoy your watch for a lifetime.

Case, Dial & Bracelet Material

Careful selection of each material and its design is considered to ensure it not only provides a high quality product but they all blend into the design seamlessly.

Sapphire Crystal

All of our watches are fitted with premium sapphire crystal to prevent scratching under most circumstances. An anti reflective layer aids with the clear viewing of the dial.

Inspected & Tested

Each Melbourne Watch Co timepiece is inspected and tested by hand prior to delivery to our customers.

We have adopted a 'best practice' approach to testing and inspection which is based on elements of Swiss, German and ISO processes and procedures.
